Has Anyone Seen a Baseball Game at Raley Field in Sacramento? - freeradical - 08-25-2008

I'm thinking about going to see a night game between Fresno and Sacramento, the AAA farm teams for San Francisco and Oakland.

Are there any parts of the stadium to avoid due to sun etc?

The river cats are in the playoffs again this year.

You might glean somethig from the stadium map...

Since it is a night game the sun shouldn't be a problem?

right field stares directly into the sun -- thats the big grassy area thats "free for all" seating

fun small field -- although not sure why the put a big building in left field -- where homers are hit -- or at least cover them with stands...

heres a good view of RF grass area

i have sat behind the dugout on the 1st base side many times

one thing -- it gets nippy at night -- bring a jacket -- wind is already blowing, probably more later...

Good ideas; I should fire up Google Earth and take a look...
