Off to Vegas in the morning - DavidS - 08-29-2008

My wife and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary by taking our first vacation without kids in 7 years, leaving tomorrow morning for 5 days. We are taying at the Venetian in a large suite (1500sq ft), dinner at Tao tomorrow night before going to see Cirque Love, then hopefully Tao nightclub afterwards. Saturday night is dinner at Alize at the Palms.

Our original plan was to go to Europe for #10, but with 3 kids staying with my wife's sisters, we didn't think going overseas would be such a good idea. This trip will probably cost the same, but it's worth it.

Have a great time! I saw Cirque Love in May and it was fantastic. Enjoy!

No hookers this trip but maybe some booze?

One of the best meals I have had in recent memory was at Bouchon at the Venetian, fantastic food and not horrifically expensive.

I definitely suggest getting off the strip for a wonderful dinner of Spanish tapas at Firefly on Paradise, or excellent Thai at Siam Orchid. Both are truly stellar examples of their cuisine.

Ten years? Congratulations!

In case you have to drag your wife away from the gaming tables after she's destroyed the "nest egg," then it's good to know that 7/11 have a nice Hot Dog and Big Gulp combination for under $2 dollars.

That's bigger than my house! Smile
