Why System folder on data drive? - Mac1337 - 08-29-2008 My second drive which I use for data still has Library, System and User folders? Why and do I need to back them up? Re: Why System folder on data drive? - PeterW - 08-29-2008 umm, because you put them there? They certainly didn't grow there. Just toss 'em in the trash if you don't want/need them. There probably are a few invisible files and folders on the drive as well. If you want to be rid of everything, backup the drive, format it and transfer back only the data folders you want to keep. Re: Why System folder on data drive? - Mac1337 - 08-30-2008 Is it possible to get them when you format the drive? Re: Why System folder on data drive? - ka jowct - 08-30-2008 Only if you install an OS. |
