Walgreen's stock has been in the dumps for months. I think CVS and Walgreens are overbuilding....anyway in my small town. Walgreens financials are supposed to be stronger than CVS. Both discount and coupon a bunch.

As I understand it Walgreen's is mandated to have a presence in all these areas you see it opening in, in exchange for accepting government reimbursement on medications (or something like that . . .)

We have three Walgreen stores, all relatively new, here in New Braunfels, TX, a town of approximately 50,000 population. Seems like overkill or confidence on their part that we are going to grow like crazy, which is probably true. Sam's small Texas town (Tyler) has double our population and according to a google search has three Walgreen's stores, half the number we have per capita. We also have a new CVS Pharmacy.
