So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - lipskidder - 09-23-2008 2 hour season premiere last night. I thought it was just as good as when it left. That was a loooong hiatus. Between this and Lost taking forever inbetween seasons they are testing my dedication. Smallville wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I kinda like the change to leave Smallville for the most part. Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - NewtonMP2100 - 09-23-2008 . . .it was o.k. but too many storylines. . .it might fall victim to was happened to Lost 2 seasons ago?. . .where nothing much happens each week because too much is happening jumping through all the storylines. . .it was fine for 2 hour but what happens when it goes back to 1 hour next week. . .? . . .I wish there were less separate storylines and more stuff happening. . .also less time travel stuff. . .story lines can potentially get bad when you are constantly using time travel . . . . . .also starting to find that there are just too many 'coincidences' happening where this person happens to meet this person and is somehow related to that person who knows so and so. . .etc. . .I know it is a 'comicbook' but starting to stretch believability even for a comicbook genre (IMHO). . . but will continue to tune in. . . Yeah, are the going to constantly be trying to change the future they changed when they changed it the last time? Shades of Terminator! Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - lipskidder - 09-23-2008 So Hiro won't go back in time yet he will go forward then back to our time? Um... that's going back in time... Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - DharmaDog - 09-23-2008 He's already been back in time...without going forward first. Remember? He went back in time in Japan to meet that drunk samurai. Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - lipskidder - 09-23-2008 I know but he saw Ando in the future and then came "back" again. Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - Filliam H. Muffman - 09-23-2008
I was thinking that all the guys from Level 5 escaping was a little bit of an overused plot twist. A variation was just done on Supernatural with all the spirits escaping hell.
I agree with the too many plot lines. It was getting hard to keep track of all the goings on. Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - ztirffritz - 09-23-2008 Filliam, that was a common plot used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer too. Re: So did we enjoy Heroes this week? - MacMagus - 09-23-2008
They ripped off a good chunk of the story from "The Fly."
That alone disgusts me enough that I feel less compelled to tune in next week. It's still a half decent show, but it's starting to feel like something that would air on Fox after they canceled something good. You know, kind of interesting for 3 episodes, but then just plain boring and you wonder why they got rid of the show that you actually wanted to watch.
