Mom passed away yesterday. - MacArtist - 10-03-2008
My mom has been very sick with congestive heart failure. She came down with pneumonia.
She was on assisted breathing for a couple of days. Her directives where to have any assistance removed.
I drove all night on Wednesday to get to Denver, CO to see her before she passed. They removed all support at 11am. She passed away at 11:10am. 73 years old.
She was my mother, my gluten free gourmet chef and my friend.
Rest in Peace, Mom.

You mentioned she was a gluten-free gourmet. Did she also have Celiac disease?

My condolences as well.
The loss of a parent is very difficult and a bit sobering as well.
It's been seven years since I lost my father and it still hurts.
I'm lucky in that my mom is still going at 83 years old - but I don't take that for granted.
