Film Franchise to Be 'Bourne' Again
Matt Damon is attached to star in the fourth installment

It seems "The Bourne Ultimatum" wasn't so ultimate after all.

Universal is planning yet another installment of the Jason Bourne spy franchise, choosing George Nolfi to write the script, report the trades.

Matt Damon, who starred in the previous three films, is attached to star in the fourth.

Nolfi helped adapt "Ultimatum", which earned $442 million at the worldwide box office. Although the first three films were based on Robert Ludlum's books, the new film will be based on an original story.

Author Eric Van Lustbader, with the permission of the Ludlum estate, has written four other novels in the series.

Lustbader is quite the author in his own rights.

I hope they don't use that stupid shaky camera technique this time.

The Bourne ADHD Cameraman Shaky Cam.

BOURNE again?! YES! - RAMd®d - 10-18-2008

I like handheld camera work when it's not abused.

A lot of people seem to Super Size the Shake for no good reason.

I've really enjoyed the Bourne movies so far-- I'm three for three. That doesn't happen often for me. (It's been "every other/odd numbered" for the Indy movies.

Glad to see Damon sticking with the series.

Lost any interest/desire when Damon started spouting about how much "better" their Bourne character was than Bond. Unbelievable.

Gained interest/desire when I realized that Damon is correct, the Bourne series is superior to the tired Bond franchise, and indirectly (or maybe even directly) helped reinvigorate it.

I don't think the Bond franchise is tired anymore--not since Casino Royale. I'm looking forward to A Quantum of Solace.
