Anyone here familiar w/ Unreal Tournament 2004 - graylocks - 10-18-2008 son (15) wants to play this. it's rated M. reviews i've found say the rating is for extreme blood and gore, and profanity. any one play this? Re: Anyone here familiar w/ Unreal Tournament 2004 - cyclemax - 10-18-2008 I've played it before. The object is to kill anything that moves, will extra accolades for head shots and multiple kills. Definitely blood and gore, and profanity. Pretty much your standard first person shooter. Re: Anyone here familiar w/ Unreal Tournament 2004 - Silencio - 10-18-2008 It can be fairly gorey, yes. After a while, though, the flying bits get distracting from the gameplay so you can turn it off. I really don't think the game has anything that will traumatize a 15 year-old. You don't want to kill anything that moves in a team game. Don't shoot your teammates! Re: Anyone here familiar w/ Unreal Tournament 2004 - incognegro - 10-19-2008 "KILLING SPREE!" "HEAD SHOT!" "GODLIKE!" Re: Anyone here familiar w/ Unreal Tournament 2004 - Silencio - 10-19-2008 "M-M-M-M-M MONSTER KILL!" Re: Anyone here familiar w/ Unreal Tournament 2004 - TheCaber - 10-19-2008 The level of profanity in messages and announcer's voice-over volume are settable in the options. I just turn it off, and go with minimal gore, fog, and special lighting effects; keeps the frame rate up. |
