now, now-leave karsen alone.

we have all rooted for a team faced with elimination.

for the rays this is truly a gut check moment.

i'm really excited to see what happens in game 7.

may the better team win.

be well

Providing it's the Rays.

A team that doesn't have courage of conviction enough to stand up to the fringe :villagers: for it's own name? If Boston management had so little spine they'd have dropped "Red" from their name during the MacCarthy era, the Cincinnatti team might today be nameless and the hockey team in Detroit Winging it! :bat:

Don't gloat, Roger. Gloaters sometimes turn to goats.

Courage of conviction to stand up for its own name? You're obviously unaware that the team you claim to root for has changed it's name 4 times. I wouldn't expect a fringe (see bandwagon) fan to know that though.

The Red Sox had their start as the Boston Americans. A couple of years later they used the names Somersets and Pilgrims. Then as a throwback to the Boston Red Stockings team that played in Boston in the late 1800's they took the name Red Sox.

Feel free to ignore baseball history and go on spewing nonsense from the mouth like a typical Red Sox fan. Give me a break.

It was a joke. TBS had technical difficulites and the first inning and half of the game was replaced with The Steve Harvey Show.

You took that as a gloat? I thought by picking on team management I wuz avoiding trash talk about choking and such. In a previous thread karsen asked for some "smack talk". I think the pressure is getting to Rays fans more than their players.

Game seven drama. It's like walk off hits or homers, what we fans all hope for and look forward toward.

(as a personal aside Danny's football game yesterday - the other team came from behind to tie the score with under a minute left. Score tied with 10 seconds left. They kick, we down the ball with 5 seconds. Danny completes a pass to the running back 25 yards from the line--he twists, turns and gyrates down the sideline (this is flag football) and falls down short of the goal but close enough to stick the nose of the ball 1" over the line after time ran out. The kids went nuts, the parents went nuts (well some were already) and confirmed that this is real team sport. This is why I coach and why they show up for practice.)

Thank the gods that there are no time limits to baseball games, karsen might disagree.
