battle of the stabilization modes? - mrbigstuff - 11-08-2008

I was poking around at local MicroCenter today and fooled with some p/s digicams and was really surprised at some of the IS available now on these things. I tried the Fuji S2000, the Canon SXsomething and the Pana FZ28. All were good, but it seemed the Panasonic was the best. which got me to thinking - is there a site that tests the IS specifically? not caring about the pixel peeping since any of these cameras would be more than adequate for my purposes.

DPReview will test the IS of the cameras but I don't think they've reviewed the cameras you mentioned yet. Here's a review for the Canon A720IS that they show the IS effectiveness (near bottom of page): http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canona720is/page4.asp
