body clock - wurm - 11-08-2008

Just curious.

1. What time do you generally hit the rack...to sleep?
2. If you didn't set an alarm (assuming you do), what time would your internal body clock awaken you?
____________

For me,

1. usually between midnight and 1am
2. between 7:30 and 8:00am

Re: body clock - space-time - 11-08-2008

1. usually around 11 PM (maybe 10:30 PM when I am very tired, 12:30 AM when I stay late). But fluctuations of 2-3 ours each way occur several times per year.
2. 6:30 AM, with alarm clock, 6:30 AM without alarm. (yes, I get up the same, in fact 2-3 minutes before teh alarm goes off)

Re: body clock - riley5108 - 11-08-2008

Usually hit the rack about 8:30 or 9:00
Never use an alarm always up by 5:00

There are always exceptions, but for the most part the internal clock wakes me pretty much at the same time regardless what time I go to bed.

Re: body clock - Zoidberg - 11-08-2008

(1) Usually go to sleep between 10 and 11, sometimes later, rarely earlier.
(2) Weekdays, I'm up at 5:30 AM (because I have to be), even without an alarm.*
(2b) Weekdays, when I'm not required to be, I'm usually up by 7:30 AM.
(2c) Weekends, usually by 8 AM.

* A friend who is a pilot often has to get up at 3:30 or 4:30 for a flight; this time is often referred to as "oh-dark-thirty".

Work a rotating shift so an alarm is a required as I have no internal alarm any more.

Re: body clock - testcase - 11-08-2008

I've been working either overnight or, three shift rotation for over 30 years now. My body clock hasn't a clue as to what's normal anymore Sad .

My times are the same as yours. But I'm retired and might 'nod off' a little during the afternoon.

Hit the sack between 11 and 12 usually. I try to make it closer to eleven.

I use an alarm to get up between six and six thirty. That's if the cat doesn't wake me up first.
This past week I've been waking up around 4:30-5 AM because my body is still not off Daylight Savings Time.

Re: body clock - bazookaman - 11-09-2008

with my new job, I've started taking a little more time getting up and getting ready. It lets me see my little girl for a few minutes in the AM. Part of my new routine is never setting my alarm unless i REALLY have to be somewhere. But I still wake up at 6:30 or 7. I hit the sack around 10 or 11. Obviously switching back to standard time has completely screwed me up.

Re: body clock - vicrock - 11-09-2008

Go to sleep between 9 and 10
Always awake between 5 and 5:30
