have PayPal make a deposit into your bank account, or mail you a check.

any reason that you wouldn't want to accept cashier's check or postal M.O or even cash? Paypal fees on that transaction are going to be pretty significant (2-3%, I think).

cashiers checks can be forged, stolen or stop payment.
Cash requires face to face... a little scary
postal money order can be lost in the mail... also forged, but anti counterfeiting goodies help.

On a transaction of that size, I think you have to worry about credit card chargeback disputes on PayPal too. I'd suggest you do some research first.

Some really good points noted above. So along with Black Landlords suggestion of Valium and muscle relaxants I think you're still gonna need a jar of Vaseline to take care of the post sale chaffing ....

With the Paypal Fees on $10k, you'd almost be better off flying there for a person-to-person payment from his bank into your hands.
