Michael Steele removes his name from moderate Republican group - Gutenberg - 12-06-2008

From the Baltimore Sun:

"WASHINGTON - Last year, with some fanfare, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele joined two prominent Republican moderates in announcing the revival of a centrist political organization, the Republican Leadership Council.

Now, Steele's name has mysteriously disappeared from the RLC's Web site."

Steele is running for chair of the Republican National Committee. Apparently he feels that membership in a group tied to the moderate wing of the party won't help him.

The Republicans just don't get it--a continued march to the right only helps the Democrats!

Steele continues to make poor choices. He has a history of saying/doing things that hurt himself. I am starting to feel like he should see somebody about this problem.
