Is Joshua Bell TOO good? - Dennis S - 12-29-2008

I heard him playing "Winter" from The Four Seasons by Vivaldi and it seemed too fast, too slick and too whiz-bang. (Not so good with musical terminology)

There's a cute saying among musicians that applies to him at this point:
"Not young enough to be talented."

Generally, applying a german accent and then speaking a little too loud will convert any terminology into valid musical terminology:

It vas zu fassscht, zu schlick, und zu viz-bäng!

Is he the fellow that they put on the street with a strataverius where he played part of his concert as a street muscian and ... essentially only 2-3 people noticed and he only made 20 bucks in an afternoon?
