How long a wait for first UC deposit? - olnacl - 12-30-2008
I filed on Nov 28, first week no check because I worked 'til Nov 26. Supposedly there is no 1 week wait as I first claimed at the end of May, but took a temp job between then and Nov 26. I claimed 1 week on 12/08 and 2 weeks on 12/22 and will claim 2 weeks again on 01/05, but I've yet to see anything in my bank account.
I'd call the office, but you know what that's like these days. Just hoping someone with recent experience might recall how long it takes and if I should be concerned.
BTW, I collected 2 checks in June before landing the temp position. I wonder if the benefit period starts over or if they add the weeks you didn't collect while working onto the end. In other words, has the 26 week clock been ticking since June 8?

Too dependent on which state you are in to say. But with claims up the last couple of months, could be delayed by paperwork being processed.

I'm in IL. I lost my job in July of last year and IIRC, it was about 3 weeks or so before I received my first direct deposit. It was a cumulative check so it had all the eligible weeks in one payment.

OK, that sounds reasonable. If nothing shows up after a month I'll brave the telephone lines. Thanks for responding.
