Another way to slide in no guns allowed.... - samintx - 02-20-2009

http://www.infowars.com/illinois-bill-would-require-gun-owners-to-buy-1m-in-liability-insurance/

I understand the 1Mil insurance would be for accidental shooting and then you would be required to carry another 1Mil for "willful" shooting.

Tax ammunition high, put insurance on guns...what is going to be proposed nest?

No. From the article you linked to:-

“specifically covering any damages resulting from negligent or willful acts involving the use of such firearm while it is owned by such person.”

It was pointed out on Glen Beck's show that there is no insurance company that sells gun liability insurance for a million dollars. It's just NOT available. Your homeowners liability insurance may give you some coverage, but probably not up to that amount.

And since when do I have to purchase insurance to cover my second amendment right? Don't give me the schtick about having to have insurance on my car. Driving, unlike gun ownership, is a privilege not a constitutional right.

Will the criminals be required to carry the insurance too? Yeah, right. What was I thinking?

I love the ads on that site. No fearmongering on that site, no siree! Everything is researched and sound, and presented moderately! :terror:Confusedecret::rant:

Gutenberg, the great authority on web sites and whether they are good or bad. Good if they support HIS argument, bad if they don't.

Actually Gutty is a she and every bit up to challenging the nonsense you post. I'd do it more often myself but I have a life and might eventually be perceived as a bully. Sorta' like you.

Beside that I have a new 2-day old grandson to pay attention to.

Guys don't do pix. Beside that and complexions, all newborn babies look like all other new born babies.

Sorry for the sex change, Gutenberg. No charge

I'm a bully because I disagree with you, RgrF? Awwww, poor baby. Now, hand over your lunch money!
