Not in the living room! - Buck - 03-20-2009 In order to restore peace, I need another TV for kids to plug in their game cube. I was thinking to get a cheap CRT off Craigslist. Their suggestion was for them to get the 42 inch, and I buy a bigger one for the living room. Fugeddabout it! Maybe I'll get a 20" LCD, but a $20 old TV sounds best. Re: Not in the living room! - Robert M - 03-20-2009 Buck, If you have the extra cash, you may want to look into the Envision TV I found at staples.com and just posted about a few minutes ago! It seems like a decent deal even at $369.99! break out coupons and that price drops even more. Buy the TV for yourself and give the old one to the kids. ![]() Robert Re: Not in the living room! - graylocks - 03-20-2009 what room ARE you going to put the gamecube/tv in? i'm a big fan of no electronics in bedrooms. it's one of the reasons i looked for a house where we could have a living room and a family room. when my son was younger i had a 'no toys allowed to be left in the living room' rule. adults need space too. and no, don't cave in to giving them the 42inch. an old TV is just fine. they'll live. or maybe go off and read a book because the game tv is so retro. Re: Not in the living room! - OWC Jamie - 03-20-2009 chores for game time restore peace, ha, dream on some semblance maybe Re: Not in the living room! - lazydays - 03-20-2009 I'll go in the other direction, biggest tv possible for the gamecube. When playing two person games, splitting the screen, it's best to have maximum realestate. Re: Not in the living room! - AAA - 03-20-2009 I like projectors. Move them and use them where needed, impromptu. Ours is reduced as far as we could and still fills out 100" screen we primarily use it on. Plus, cool for driveway theater using garage doors (with shower curtain) as screen. Set of self-powered speakers and you're set to go.
