Show real link address in Mail - m.paris - 03-23-2009 This has been bugging me for some time now. I will, on occasion, see references to holding my cursor over the link in an email to see the true address which will then appear as a hintbox. I have never been able to get this to work. I always have to take a look at the message's source code to see where the links really would direct me. I have tried this in two different versions of Apple's Mail application (2.1.1 and 1.3.11 running under 10.4.11 and 1.3.9 respectively.) Does this only work with some other mail program(s) or am I missing something blindingly obvious? (I remember it working in a somewhat different way in Netscape Communicator many years ago.) I have tried searching the forum and Googling for various combinations of terms without luck. Please enlighten me here. Re: Show real link address in Mail - kj4btkljv - 03-23-2009 Holding the pointer over the link displays a yellow url hint for me. Like you, for the most part it works, other times, it won't display the destination URL. Apple Mail 2.13, Tiger 10.4.11 Jeff |
