I'm curious what products people like using for cleaning computer cases.

I remember rubbing alcohol being particularly effective but I also remember removing the letters from a keyboard.

Alcohol bad Sad

A friend of mine manufactures a number of cleaning products that he sells to the military and commercial users,

He once explained to me that when plastic products are made that the mold release agent leaves a protective finish on the plastic which is the shiny surface you see.

Most cleaning agents, such as alcohol or any of the normal home cleaning products such as Windex, remove the protective layer and open the plastic's porous surface to dirt and other contaminants.
