Word Fillable Forms Pt. 2 - Effin Haole - 03-20-2006

OK, got the character limits set. But when you hit return, it expands the box to accomodate the added text. Anyway to lock the size of the box?

Thanks again, this is sooo not my forte. Wish the client would just use the PDF forms we created already.

Onward...

Again, in the input field properties, you should be able to limit either the size or number of characters.

Z

I got that part down, what I am trying to do is "lock the size of the box that the type has been placed into.

The character limit is set, however, when you hit the return key, it expands the box to accept another line of text and drops everything down a line. (I have borders on the fillable part)

I don't think there is a way to contain returns. I try to build my forms so that people won't feel the need to hit return. Either the form field is specific in what its content should be or I provide plenty of additional spaces for other pertinent info. If its an area where they could type and type and type I usually just make a box that will expand.

It seems you are correct about containing returns.

Thanks for the help, this has been an adventure to be sure.

Yep, even the sample form they gave me from a competitor doesn't stop you from hitting return and expanding the box.

Thanks again!
