best way to copy iPhoto library to another user? - edgarbc1 - 03-21-2006

iPhoto 6.0.2

what is the best way to copy an iPhoto library to another user?
straight copy of entire Pictures/iPhoto Library folder?
(making sure to change read write permissions)
is there a batch changer of permissions?

is there a better way?
because there are at least 3 folders of photos... Data, Modified, and Originals
plus the index files which likely need to get changed too..

id rather not just share the photo library, i want a direct copy for the other user
to tweak as desired.

If you want that copy to always be current, then you will have to put it in the Shared folder, and change permissions so both parties can update it.

If you want to provide a copy as of a point in time, just make a copy with the Finder, and drag it to that user's home folder. You will have to be logged in as an Admin to do that.
