Hi everyone,
I received my Dell 24" display #2408WFP and just connected it to my Mac Pro. All I can say is wow. I'm going to have to get used to this. Seriously. The difference between it and my aging Dell 20.1" display #2001fp is nothing short of dramatic! It makes my old display seem drab in comparison! And that's using just the basic profile. No calibration. No nothing. Just switched the display to DVI and started using it. I'll post more when circumstances allow.

Agreed. I have two of these for my Mac Pro at work and one of them had to go back due to some hardware problem. I used an older BenQ 17" monitor as a temporary 2nd monitor but it was just pathetic, so dull and bleh. So today I was very happy to get the replacement 2408 on my desk.

amazing how quickly and easily we get spoiled. it seems like barely a quarter century ago I was trying to get used the 9" 512 X 342 b&w display on that new fangled Apple computer w/ incredible memory and software... I can't think of the name off hand, but I'm pretty sure it came after the ][ and the ///, but before the ][gs...

I felt the same when I went from a 17" to the 24" Dell. I am now using the 30" Dell and I will NEVER go back!

Similar experience here going from 17" Apple LCD to Dell 2407. However, I spent a long time calibrating for color, brightness, etc. Stock out of the box was really bad.

1680x1050 here one a Dell 20" display.

I have the same at home. It is a bit jarring coming home from working on Dual 24's, but then my desk isn't so huge either and I don't need 1920x1200 for After Effects at home. A second 17" would be nice for general iTunes and other tool palettes but I get by.
