Problem with a .mov file - PeterB - 04-09-2009 Hi everyone, I was recording a video using the AlchemyTV DVR app in live record mode, and when I clicked on the record button again to stop recording, the app crashed out. However, I did find that it had recorded a large file on the drive-- 1.9GB file which shows up as a Quicktime movie file. When I try to open the file, it says it's not a movie file. Any fix for this, or is the file hosed? TiA Re: Problem with a .mov file - hal - 04-09-2009 the file is kinda hosed - no end, but I think VLC can deal with it Re: Problem with a .mov file - PeterB - 04-09-2009 Hmmm... I tried VLC to play it, but no go... Re: Problem with a .mov file - hal - 04-09-2009 sorry - that's all I got - well... what about that other player... I forget what it's called. Re: Problem with a .mov file - Racer X - 04-09-2009 MPlayer? Re: Problem with a .mov file - PeterB - 04-09-2009 Yep, I think the file must be hosed... MPlayer won't play it either... Re: Problem with a .mov file - Grateful11 - 04-09-2009 Run it through MPEG Streamclip and select Fix Timecode Breaks, sometimes that works. |
