$30 free meal - AAA - 04-09-2009
I recently was treated to a nice free meal.
Uno's Chicago Bar & Grill.
Last year sometime I signed up for their email 'club'. Got an email recently. Stated Free entree.
Went in recently (cough) and they said I could pick anything on the menu. Free. There was a $19.99 steak (local prices might vary). But I wanted Mahi. The waitress also said that because it was my birthday (cough, cough) that I also got to choose any dessert except for the XL Cookie Sundae (sounds like Hyundai).
So, the desserts are about up to $8. I did not look at all of them to see what the highest priced one was; again I was just getting what I liked.
So, depending upon your choices, and prices where you are, it looks like a $30 free meal is possible.
Yes, I tipped based on menu pricing.
Sadly, and I was too embarased to mention it, the Mahi was very much overcooked. But the roasted veggies, and (skinless) baked potato was very good. I'd get just those next time. I ended up eating about 1/3 of my potato, 1/4 of my veggies and 1/2 my fish. The rest I shared.

They closed a couple of the Uno's around here. I didn't realize they were still around.
