From Fortune: 2 new iphones, one more powerful than the other; At&t may cave on plans.

AT&T coming down on the data plan would affect iPhone sales far more than new phone designs.

Gotta agree with graylocks on that one. I'm still using my original 4GB iPhone, and will continue to do so as long as possible given AT&T's "3G tax" on text messaging (which costs them nothing anyways!). I pay extra for 1500 txt messages already, but when I think that NONE are included in the 3G plan (which is $10 more than my current $20/mo. costs which actually includes a bare minimum # of included messages) I continue to have limited desire for a 3G iPhone until my current one no longer functions (and it's already lost its ability to ring, it's stuck on vibrate due to some physical damage).
