Mail won't take links - Fritz - 04-10-2009 It was working yesterday. Now when I add a link it just ends up being blue underlined text and won't click thru before I send it. But it works on the receivers side. Repaired Permissions. Pulled the mail.prefs to the desktop. Dragged over a backed up prefs. No change. No new apps. Been at 10.5.6 for a month or more. Ideas? Re: Mail won't take links - kj4btkljv - 04-11-2009 Mail acts this way for me too, but only in this way - the first link in my message is always clickable, all the others aren't. If I make a message that has lots of links, and I want them to all be clickable as I write the message, I have to use the command, under the Edit menu, to Add Hyperlink. Then they all work before the message is sent. It's normal behavior. Jeff Re: Mail won't take links - Fritz - 04-11-2009 not click thru as I write. They were until,a day ago. Don't get it. Re: Mail won't take links - Fred_Also - 04-11-2009 My links are not clickable or blue underline unless I use the Link command and then they are still not clickable. I thought it might have to do with Safari 4 beta but I uninstalled it and still have the same behavior. The reason I thought about the Safari 4 beta was if you have it installed, mail will not save a message as rtf or plain text. It doesn't give an error, it just doesn't save. It will save in the .eml format but if you double click it, it will open in mail. I like to save suspect junk mail as .rtf and open with TextEdit to see what it is before I open or delete it in mail. I don't know how long my mail has been like this (the link problem). Fred Also |
