cool. post some pics (taken with the camera, not of the camera!) soon.

please post some high ISO pics, if possible, compared to your other Pentax (and I forget which that is)

Don Kiyoti, what lenses do you have?

On a whim I went ahead and ordered it with the 18-55mm kit lens, the updated II version which compares favorably to the 16-45mm ƒ4. It's not as fast (ƒ3.5-5.6), but it's only about $110.

I have the DA 12-24mm ƒ4, the 31mm ƒ1.8 Limited, the FA 50mm ƒ1.4 and the A 70-210mm ƒ4 (macro).

Also: the Tamron 70-300mm and the Sigma 50-500mm "Bigma."

The 31mm is such a wonderful lens and it's the one that stays on the camera the most. The 12-24mm is great too and it's a lot of fun having a really wide lens. Optically it's the same as the Tokina but has Pentax's proprietary coatings.

I ordered from buydig.com and paid $804 for the body, lens, case, an extra year of Pentax warranty and fast shipping. Such a deal!

No, the only way it'll get here before 7pm is if I leave the house now to go to lunch. It will arrive while I'm gone and I'll have to wait another day or two for Fedex to come around again.

I see, then stay hungry but at least you'll get the camera tonight!

I know, I feel your pain.

today i opened my brand spanking new pentax K2000d (1 day amazon $400 sale/http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,686564,687055#msg-687055) and was surprised by it's size and new menu features. i was a fan of the dl *ist and the k100d but felt like the price and features of the k2000 could not be ignored.

so every new camera deserves a road trip and we leave for greece tomw morning. i also have the version2 18-55mm, the kit 55-200mm and the fa50mm/1.4 prime. don's 31mm limited is a great lens which i have long coveted.

my only concern has been, i don't love my camera bag. i purchased a lowepro beltpack but it is too large so i'll stick with an old north face fanny pack that i've outfitted with padding.

don-what bag do u use?

again, congrats on the k20d.

ymmv

be well
