Gratuitious vacation cross-post: mick e's Mexican siesta - mick e - 03-22-2006 Here's where mick e and the missus went last week, on miniscule chance that you might be interested. http://www.appleswitcher.com/viewtopic.php?t=23654 Re: Gratuitious vacation cross-post: mick e's Mexican siesta - Jimmypoo - 03-22-2006 I've been to Can a handful of times, including a few years back. I never tire of it. You get to the beach and you can close off the rest of the strip if you choose to. I've long planned a dedicated trip to Merida. I've just never managed to do it. I wouldn't want to swap it for beach time, but would like 3-4 days immersed in local culture. Just need to pack iodine, chrorine, lomotil and macrolides. Re: Gratuitious vacation cross-post: mick e's Mexican siesta - spearmint - 03-22-2006 Mint is sick with envy. My idea of a fabulous vacation used to be spring training in Phoenix. Good Pix! Re: Gratuitious vacation cross-post: mick e's Mexican siesta - maco - 03-22-2006 Looks great. Back when I was single, I would fly to Cancun or Merida each year & rent a VW bug. I would go to the beaches some, but spent most of my time going to the different archeological sites, big & small. I especially like the area around Palenque Re: Gratuitious vacation cross-post: mick e's Mexican siesta - jimbrady - 03-22-2006 I'm surprised Jimmypoo neglected to comment on the Tsunami in the panorama shot.
