Apple Wireless Keyboard & mac mini - pqrst - 04-21-2009 Hi there I am shipping an intel mac mini to someone (brand new OS install) and they have a brand new Apple wireless keyboard (and Apple wireless mouse). Will they be able to get the two to talk to each other (without needing a wired keyboard for the install)? They don't have any computer equipment already (ie: usb keyboard or mice). Thanks in advance. Re: Apple Wireless Keyboard & mac mini - onthedownlow - 04-21-2009 I think they should be fine - it does have Bluetooth built-in, yes? (didn't all models have that? I know they do now.) If a keyboard isn't plugged in to the machine, and Bluetooth is present in the system, OS X immediately looks for BT Keyboards/Mice and should connect fine and/or open up the configuration screen for connecting successfully. I wouldn't worry about it. Re: Apple Wireless Keyboard & mac mini - crispy - 04-21-2009 The mini will start the bluetooth pairing process if no input devices are connected at boot. |
