I just received my Adobe Illustrator CS4 upgrade and there's no manual.
Is this a new policy or did it start with CS3 (my CS2 version came with one)? I'm going to miss not having a book to read when I need it.

Adobe is the new Quark! I've started to hate them lately for one reason or another, maybe just because, that having devoured Macromedia (or vice versa) they now more of a monopoly than ever.
They collect a couple of hundred dollars and can't be bothered to print a 30-page pamphlet to make me feel better.

Does any software come with a paper User's Guide anymore? I can't remember the last one that did.

But do you really find the Adobe manuals helpful? I think that there are better 3rd-party books for at least some of the Adobe apps.

I have The Illustrator CS2 WOW Book that is good and taught me a lot, probably more than the manual. I guess I will have to order the CS4 edition. I just miss not having a manual included.
