OT: Anyone watch "The Evidence" tonight? - bangman - 03-23-2006 Just looking to see what you thought of it. I'm actually friends with one of the actors and am curious as to what Macresource Q. Public has to say. Thanks. Re: OT: Anyone watch "The Evidence" tonight? - michaelb - 03-23-2006 I thought it was pretty good. I thought the relationship and dialog between the detectives was interesting and funny, although I am bit sick of the story line of a lead cop whose wife was killed in some unsolved mystery. I am tired of all the formula cop shows, so a new formula is worth a try. Re: OT: Anyone watch "The Evidence" tonight? - Grateful11 - 03-23-2006 Didn't want to get started on another CSI, one is enough for me. Re: OT: Anyone watch "The Evidence" tonight? - spearmint - 03-23-2006 Maybe I will watch that instead of "Heist". Earlier post condems "Heist." I love all cop shows except for NCIS which features the worst acting and script on the planet. Mark Harmon is beyond bad. Re: OT: Anyone watch "The Evidence" tonight? - RAMd®d - 03-23-2006 Wouldn't ya know that NCIS is one of my Never Miss favorites. I'm hoping that The Evidence is good. It looks promising. It doesn't look like any C.S.I.. I also like Mark Harmon. A good guy, and a lot more range than Robert Stack, even when he was alive. Hm. - RAMd®d - 03-23-2006 I want to like this show. Just finished watching. I don't like the premise and constant flashbacks to the "evidence". It comes off as a gimmick more than a unique plot device, and doesn't really seem to give us the promise of solving the case. The wrap-up of the "evidence" accomplishes nothing. They're cramming a lot of plot point/devices in the first episode. It came off as a little to contrived and busy for me. And though I'm easy when it comes to suspending disbelief, the confrontation between Jones' character and the suspect ticked me off. It would have been believable if the suspect had a gun instead of a knife. I've liked Rob Estes since Silk Stalkings, and Jones is affable. The chemistry is good though some of the dialog comes off as a bit contrived. Though the black/white card was played, it wasn't over played. I did like the BOLF "an unlicensed white man using black vernacular". I'll watch it again to give it a chance. |
