Boy it is so official looking it is scary. I can see a lot of people falling for this. Anybody I should report it to?

Let me handle it.

PM your CC number and PIN, and I'll take care of it.

I've gotten several of those in the past week...

Since I don't have an account with Chase, I ignored 'em all.

DIdn't stop me from checking my credit report though... just in case...

I do that with a lot of them. I just wonder they ever
really follow through on any of them that they get.

It would seem unlikely that it's a scam if it asks you to contact the actual company's customer service.

That should be easy to do by calling the number on your statement or on your credit card if you have one.

A scam would ask for a reply and, clearly this message did not.

I'm assuming you actually have an account with Chase.

As I always say, "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I had a phishing attempt a couple of days ago mentioning something about updating my Chase e-mail alerts. It also looked quite authentic - but they sent it to an email account that I hadn't registered with Chase. This was on my Gmail account, I reported it as a phishing attempt.

Whenever I get mail from a financial institution suggesting that I sign in, I type the appropriate website address in manually.
