I need to get two stamps made for a signature. I'd like the stamp to be actual size (approx. 1/2" X 4"). Can you recommend either an online source or B&M store where? The largest size I've found so far is 3 7/8", which I suppose is close enough, but I'd like some reviews from anyone who has gotten one made. Thanks!

I had a bank deposit stamp made at OfficeMax about 4 years ago. Still running strong. I think I've re-inked the pad once.

The best type of self inking stamp is Xstamper.
Trodat is probably the next best.

An Xstamper will take several days while a Trodat can usually be made overnight.

vistaprint did stamps as well as their business cards.

I used to use these guys:

Royal Stamp Works
19 Centennial Dr
Peabody, MA 01960-7901
(978) 531-5555

They've been in business forever and make the stamps on premise. I used to place my order and they'd ship them to me within 2-3 days. I don't think they have a website or at least I couldn't find one.

I'm getting a little worried about all of this scanning of signatures and buying of signature stamps. Setting up a little "side" business where you don't want your fingerprints to show? Smile

Bought a self-inking stamp at STAPLES a couple of years ago and it is going strong. Not sure what sizes they have. I could be wrong, but I seem to think they are supposedly good for 50,000 images. I may be wrong on that.
