Runcore SSD reliability - real world experiences? - sekker - 05-30-2009

I have my first Runcore SSD boot drive, and I was trying to find information on people's experiences with these in terms of reliability.

My real intent is to use one for my MBP, but experiences from netbooks might be some of the best data out there.

So tell me - how has your Runcore SSD been? Any issues?

The 32 GB RunCore SSD in my Dell mini is doing just fine, thank you very much.

I don't have one yet, but my guess is it's too soon in the product lifetime (being out to consumers) to even measure reliability...

I agree.

Runcore indicates this SSD has a >1,000,000 hour MTBF! That's 114+ years...

This model has a MTBF listing of 1,500,000 hours - or 171+ years!

Kind of like LED lighting - sure, COULD last 15 years, if I don't have a power surge that wipes them all out at 6 months.
