Old Favorite - errr. - OWC Larry - 03-26-2006

Don't know why - but had an urge to play Rescue Raiders last week... haven't played that in well over a decade. Was a great little Apple II game. Found it online, DLed and an apple II emulator... If I had more time I'd resurrect one of my Apple IIs. Playing under emulator - painful.

Armor Alley by 360 is a Mac OS updated version of the game. Same simple game with a little color and for Mac.

Ok - found v1.1s1 of it. but 360 out of biz. Does anyone have a darn serial number for Armor Alley.

It's stupid - but want to get this out of my system. A little time warp now and then A-ok.

EXC2H3Y
EXC53RH
EXC5F33
EXCA992

PM me if none of them work!

EXC53RH works... the other 3 don't though... Go the EXC53RH off various searches (appreciate it nonetheless) - but does anyone have a darned serial number for full use of the game in normal mode?

if 360 was in biz, I'd pay for the stupid thing. I buy what I use - but in this case, can't believe google search comes up with nothing other than the EXC53RH limited demo model play.

Re: Old Favorite - errr. - Silencio - 03-26-2006

Gawd! I wasted soooo many hours playing Rescue Raiders. In fact, the Loma Prieta earthquake struck while I was in the middle of a hot and heavy game of RR: I was putting off both getting dinner at the dining hall and going to watch the World Series game, such was my addiction to that game. I remember feeling a jolt, calmly setting the joystick down on my desk, and headed for the doorway like it was some routine earthquake. Wrongo!

Anyhoo, I eventually completed the game and got on with my life. The cheats were total lifesavers: so nice to be able to teleport to the midpoint of the battlefield and dump some fresh troops on the ground.

Playing under the emulator is painful because of the difference in controls. It's like playing Defender or Tempest in MacMAME: it looks and acts the same, but the control mechanisms are sooooo off that you just can't play effectively.
