Quick question about intel imac hardware testing - Wailer - 07-24-2009

I'm heading out the door to look at a used imac c2d.

I have my 10.5.4 install discs from my macbook that say "for mac computers". It says nothing about Macbook. This is not a licensing question.

Can I use the Apple Hardware Testing (AHT) on that disc on the imac?

How good is AHT? Any other hardware testing that can be done quickly?

Nope. The disks are machine specific. The AHT isn't an end all test. There are plenty of things that it doesn't catch.
