Quick question about intel imac hardware testing - Wailer - 07-24-2009 I'm heading out the door to look at a used imac c2d. I have my 10.5.4 install discs from my macbook that say "for mac computers". It says nothing about Macbook. This is not a licensing question. Can I use the Apple Hardware Testing (AHT) on that disc on the imac? How good is AHT? Any other hardware testing that can be done quickly? Re: Quick question about intel imac hardware testing - C(-)ris - 07-24-2009 Nope. The disks are machine specific. The AHT isn't an end all test. There are plenty of things that it doesn't catch. |
