Anyone experienced dramatic slowdowns with Safari 3 and PowerPC? - stephen - 07-31-2009

My G5 tower falls apart in speed after an hour of use.

I thought it was my cable modem, even had a service call, but when I boot the MPB, no problem.

It seems that even resetting Safari and clearing the cache, or switching to Firefox don't necessarily end the slowdown, once it's started.

Super weird.

Or, there is the possibility that I'm just fricking insane.

I have been having same issues on att/emac with Safari and Firefox.

I have cleared caches, repaired permissions....

1.25ghz G4 here. Safari 4 has been a godsend-- uses a lot less ram and a lot fewer processor cycles. I leave it on all the time, and have had no troubles for several weeks.

edit: thought I was running 3, but it's actually 4. Yes, 3 used tons of ram and tons of processor time. It sucked. Love 4. Except the reload button.
