Was $1295, reduced to 1099 - $300 rebate = $799. http://www.jr.com/stylus-pro-3800/pe/EPS_PRO3800/ Or should I consider the 3800's new successor, the Epson Stylus Pro 3880 ($1174 @ Amazon) ? http://www.epson.com/proimaging/StylusPro3880.html?ref=r0302PLb5Z&s_kwcid=TC%7C6812%7Cpro%203880%7C%7CS%7C%7C3947573682&gclid=CK2Hv_vC95wCFRkMDQodBycZbg The 3800 was introduced about three years ago. Will ink & support be available for the 3800 for the next 3-4 years? I asked about the 3800 in a previous thread: http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,767849,767849#msg-767849 ![]() Re: Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Printer — $799 after rebate w/free shipping. Good Deal? - Racer X - 09-17-2009 the higher end stuff usually has slower replacement cycles, and has longer useable life, and are supported better. When X hit the shelves, many of the pro-level printers had drivers ready to go. the consumer stuff was real spotty for quite a while. Good Deal? - jdc - 09-17-2009 adorama has the 4880 for $1750 minus $500 and $350 rebates = $913 for the standard edition and $1050 for the ultrachrome version (with free shipping which saves a bundle of $$$) i think the old thread summed it up nicely Re: Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Printer — $799 after rebate w/free shipping. I have a 3800 in my home studio, but use a 4800 here at work. Re: Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Printer — $799 after rebate w/free shipping. Good Deal? - steve... - 09-18-2009 Nevermind. ![]() |
