tennessee bourbon - lazydays - 09-23-2009

A family relative is in Tennessee right now and a friend suggested she bring back some bourbon. Is there anything special she could get me that I can't get here in washington state?

If she is flying home, she will have to check whatever she buys unless it is less than 3 oz.

I've heard that you can buy stuff there that doesn't have a tax stamp.

Although TSA's liquid and gel rules would make it difficult to bring it home.

:-)

ummm, there are no Bourbon distillers in Tennessee.
Bourbon is primarily a Kentucky product, although there are a few distillers in VA, PA, NY, and maybe one in Ohio.

I think Jack Daniel's qualifies . . . It's a mighty fine sippin' whiskey. Tastes like bourbon . . . ya know? ? ?

Jack Daniel's?! cough, choke retch!

If it's not from Kentucky, it's not bourbon.*

*I know that's not a legal requirement, but still.....*

*No pun intended.

Tennessee makes whiskey. Kentucky makes bourbon

Just don't drink anything that comes to you in a mason jar.

Gentleman Jack is REALLY good. It is a very fine version of Jack Daniels that doesn't taste like ass.
