I've almost posted this as a thread a number of times, but I've switched to Firefox for any video. Safari works okay for video for a (short) while, but video starts stuttering and buffering badly after a few videos. Firefox loads the video much more quickly and the playback is usually flawless, even full screen.

Wow - that's a little scary !
I was at a press conference many years ago and a videographer next to me had a Lowell Tote-a-Lite blow a bulb -
no mesh screen on the front so it scattered hot quartz glass all over and caught an upholstered chair on fire.
It was overall more interesting than the rest of the press conference.
