Hm... it's hard to tell from here if that bright spot is a bite out of the apple or glare on the apple...

The name of the fruit is McIntosh, although since 1984 I have seen some grocery stores label them Macintosh.

Apple Macs = computers. OK to buy.

Road Apples = do not buy or step on.
