FU: Returned from SUX... - Z - 10-13-2009

Long trip to the event - ANC-SLC-MSP-LIN and then drive to SUX (don't ask... flight timing and availability). The wedding went well. I think I passed the test for the Wedding Photographer gig... or at least I gave the impression I knew what I was doing.
Sioux City is an odd place. The rolling hills are quite pretty. The old downtown area was pleasant. The drinks were cheap at the Elks Lodge. The town appeared to be fairly conservative, with an abundance of pray for xyz billboards about (could be just my impression of western Iowa and any cues that apply reinforcing it). Didn't make it to any of the restaurants recommended, but I appreciate the effort. Once I get a pic or two uploaded, I will amend the post as appropriate.
Long flight back to AK was smooth for the most part, though sadly not direct through MSP or ORD. Perhaps next time.

How about that! I just returned from a trip to FNY via SBA-MCR-BDM-STL then I flew back to DE via JB. I should have gone to NIA.

Get out into the country in any number of compass directions, and that gets MUCH worse, but yes, we have a few of those...

Z- if you would have driven 30 miles north of SUX I would have bought you an ice cream sundae! That is what comes with living in the town of Wells Blue Bunny - the Ice Cream Capitol of the World!
