Mac Mini dual HDs. Assuming RAID. - AAA - 10-20-2009

How will Apple swing the support on this?
If one of your drives in the RAID goes down, I wonder...
Either way, dual (RAID?) drives in this type of system is welcomed.

No optical drive on server mini. Looks ominously clean. What'd they call the x-man hybrid from Wolverine that had no mouth, but more OTHER capabilities?

And Mac Minis can drive TWO MONITORS
Connects to up to two external displays with digital resolution up to 2560 by 1600 pixels via Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter or 1920 by 1200 pixels via Mini DisplayPort, Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter, or Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter. Analog resolution (VGA) up to 2048 by 1536 pixels using Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter or Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter.

They've been dual-monitor capable since the last update.

:villagers:No sense of design! Looks just like an OWC hard drive!

LOL.

Software RAID I'm sure. You can configure it however you want. Either mirrored, span, or 2 stand alone drives.

RAID 0 = amount of data you'll have if one drive fails.

So replace the drive and restore from backup. Same result if you've only got one drive and it fails.

Wink

Nice, imagine it with two SSD's.

Intel is supposed to have 320 GB X25-M drives by the end of the year. It would make an incredible little server if it had some way to connect external storage at native SATA speeds. Maybe it will be the first model to include USB 3 or Light Peak?
