Knowing someone who works at one... they're horrible. Work 12hr days, no days off. Occasionally you're told at the end of one day you get the next day off, but not very often.
Every employee that had an iPhone was told when they came back to work to have another phone or don't come back.

Okay. How many days off would you expect to get in the week or so that anyone other than contractors and the manager might have been expected to work at the store before it opened?
In the 5 days of training before that?

Instead of copying the Apple Store, they should have modeled it on K-mart or some other half-baked luncheonette off the rack feel store in keeping with the character of Windows. It would also have that faint smell of boiled cabbage to complete the ambiance. Yup, that would be the MS store dreams are made of. AND, they'd be doing something original for once!!
