the ram is a total pita to upgrade requiring near total disassembly, really not worth the effort all you gain is a bigger keyboard

How about the N280 processor upgrade for $25 would it be worth it?

1 GB RAM has been surprisingly able in running 10.6.1

The guide at Gizmodo has nice pictures, but misses a couple of important details -- the Mini drive needs to be reformatted as GUID, and the BIOS needs to be reset after installation re either USB or BT to avoid problems with wake from sleep.

More details at http://www.mydellmini.com and http://osx.mechdrew.com/guides/

I finally Leopardized my Mini 9 last week so that I could print to my very old AppleTalk printers. Way cool!

How about speed-wise?

I have a Runcore SSD in my DM9, don't the 10v's use a regular drive?

Shhhhhh! When the mini 10v comes up someone is supposed to write "the ram is a total pita to upgrade requiring near total disassembly, really not worth the effort all you gain is a bigger keyboard;" with which you're supposed to agree; what happened to you?

Can someone describe the 10v RAM upgrade process or perhaps give a comparison?
