So shouldn't 10.6.2 have hit the download servers by now? - Zoidberg - 10-27-2009

I thought two weeks ago we saw the notice that it was "certified" bug-free and ready to release. Either something cropped up or something's afoot.

FWIW, I recall there was a discussed requirement for 10.6.2 and the new Magic Mouse and, if the new iMacs/etc. are shipping, aren't they loaded up with 10.6.2 already, if they come with a Magic Mouse?

The new macs shipped with 10.6.1, and there is no download for the magic mouse to use with other machines as of yet..... I know, I have been looking for it Smile

Just looked at a new iMac for my Mom yesterday at the Apple Store. Still had 10.6.1 on it and the Magic Mouse worked fine. Wasn't sure if I would like the Magic Mouse but I did.

System Requirements
  • Bluetooth-enabled Mac computer
  • Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0
  • Existing keyboard and mouse for setup

So what is Snow.2 supposed to do?

I thought I heard a podcast around the 21st/22nd that Snow.2 had only one bug in it than needed fixing.

I'm hoping 10.6.2 comes with plenty of fixes. I have several video bugs with this Santa Rosa MBP from summer 2007 and 10.6.1. This machine came with a flaky-from-the-start graphics card - Apple seems to have to tweak it to make it work (experienced many bugs before they got that right in 10.5).

My biggest grip is, oddly, Address Book. Getting duplicates any time a program accesses it.

Are you sure that it's not this hardware problem that they will fix for free?
