What is this song I heard on the radio? - Dennis S - 11-23-2009

I heard it on the radio. It's a solo singer-songwriter type and it's sprightly and sparsley-instrumentated. The chords seem something like C G Am F ??. The melody is something like:

E C G E
D B G D
C A (F or E) C

Edit: removed notes that didn't format right

I can name that tune in 3 notes...

Kidding.

If I am trying to track down a song on the internet, the only way I can do it is by the lyrics.

Would help to know a few more things. What genre? What kind of instruments (piano, guitar?) Do you remember ANY of the lyrics?

I don't know any of the lyrics. A musician who listens to pop radio should recognize the tune from the notes above.
