Toob Nooz - Uh oh? Flash Forward gets freeze framed. - Blankity Blank - 11-24-2009 ABC has put a very short stop to the production of Flash Forward. It's just six days, but I gather such things are the TV relationship equivalent of the 'We need to talk' talk. Not quite as bad as the 'It's not you, it's me' talk, but worse than the 'If you don't know what's wrong I'm not going to tell you' non-talk talk. Re: Toob Nooz - Uh oh? Flash Forward gets freeze framed. - abevilac - 11-24-2009 I've grown to like it. The least they could do is "fast forward" the show to the last episode, so we can find out what happened. Re: Toob Nooz - Uh oh? Flash Forward gets freeze framed. - Doc - 11-24-2009 Not a good sign if you're a fan. Usually, when a show goes on hiatus it does not come back. Personally, I have no special attachment to it. They haven't managed to create any characters or conflict that I connect with. Re: Toob Nooz - Uh oh? FlashForward gets freeze framed. - RAMd®d - 11-24-2009 I'm enjoying it, but I'm also thinking that even if it's given free reign, there won't be a satisfying payoff. And if it were to be picked up, what happens *IF* we find and catch the bad guys? Could the writers be creative enough to develop a new storyline? Unfortunately, I don't think FlashForward has a flashforward. Re: Toob Nooz - Uh oh? FlashForward gets freeze framed. - Blankity Blank - 11-24-2009 Well, Flash Forward was already picked up for a full season back in October, and production has only been stopped for this week, so I'm guessing the odds are pretty good it will make it at least till the Olympics tsunami hits. While it's fallen from the top rungs of the ratings ladder, it's still pretty solidly in the middle of the pack and beating everything on NBC. Unless it continues to slide (fingers crossed), it will probably just make it to the finish line, but not much further than that. One and done. Re: Toob Nooz - Uh oh? Flash Forward gets freeze framed. - GeneL - 11-25-2009 I watch because I am interested in the premise, but IMHO the story has been too unfocused to build any real attachment to watching the series. I won't miss it if it goes off, but I agree with abevilac and would like to see the story wrapped up. In fact, I think that there should be a Constitutional amendment that when networks cancel a series that they have to provide a satisfactory ending for all the viewers that got "hooked" on the series. For the first episodes, they were all falling into basic time shift/travel/change mistakes. Although the show is kind of interesting, it's like they assumed the viewers haven't seen movies like Back to the Future. Now they're changing that, but in such a way that anything goes. I am not saying they should be predictable, but right now it's like they throw 500 words into a bowl, pull out five and form a sentence. Then write the plot around that. It's too random at this point. Plus I don't like how violent it's become. I've seen enough real life violence it's not entertaining for me to watch their make believe junk. Re: Toob Nooz - Uh oh?
