Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - cbelt3 - 11-29-2009 Aaarrrgghhh. Are these people serious ? Why not draft Ross Perot.. He's not dead yet either ! Please... Can you idiots come up with a centrist candidate ? I'm close to giving up and registering as a full-on independent. Maybe I won't get their junk mail any more. Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - Don Kiyoti - 11-29-2009 I don't believe the Republican Party allows centrists to run for office any more. Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - Ted King - 11-29-2009 Jon Huntsman, former Republican governor of Utah and presently US Ambassador to China, may be setting himself up well for a run in 2016. Maybe the Republican Party will be mostly over its "purity" derangement by then: http://www.chinapost.com.tw/international/americas/2009/05/17/208426/Republican-Utah.htm Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - mattkime - 11-29-2009 I like the idea of Cheney running for president. Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - Gutenberg - 11-29-2009 No way. Cheney has both coronary artery disease (four heart attacks) and atrial fibrillation. He can't sustain a campaign. Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - $tevie - 11-29-2009 The only way Cheney could win would be if he had an absolutely fabulous running mate, since it would be obvious to everyone that if he did survive the campaign he would die in office. The job ages the young and healthy, it will kill Cheney. Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - Gutenberg - 11-29-2009 I did some more reading and he also has frequent ventricular tachycardia which can cause sudden death. That's why he had an ICD (defibrillator) implanted. He has the worst kind of heart disease you can possibly have and still be upright, and if it weren't for the extraordinary measures doctors have taken because of his position, he'd be, best case, retired with disability, and worst case, dead. Atrial fibrillation is bad enough--when you have something that affects the ventricles, which do the real business of pumping blood--you have real trouble. His vice-presidency was a real accomplishment for his cardiologists. Re: Republican Party continues to seek a clue.... Cheney for President in 2012 ? - Filliam H. Muffman - 11-29-2009 Some people are of the opinion that Cheney already was President for 8 years but without quite as much stress or exposure (cough*undisclosed location*cough). Besides, you can't kill the devil. |
