Samsung 40"-Good price? - DP - 12-02-2009 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+40%22+Class+/+1080p+/+120Hz+/+LCD+HDTV/9300437.p?id=1218079755374&skuId=9300437 Re: Samsung 40"-Good price? - Filliam H. Muffman - 12-02-2009 Well, it is better than Abe's of Maine but there were larger models for less money last Friday. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=samsung+ln40b630&oe=utf-8&hl=en&cid=13861386689829914504&sa=button#scoring=p My guess is that this model is going into closeout and this is the first round of price cuts. Re: Samsung 40"-Good price? - DP - 12-02-2009 Well, it's gotten great ratings so I think I'll keep an eye on it. Re: Samsung 40"-Good price? - SteveO - 12-02-2009 I think if you wait a bit, you'll do better. Costco had that set for 799 after instant rebate a few weeks ago. They also have a similar Toshiba for $600, no rebates. Re: Samsung 40"-Good price? - Bimwad - 12-03-2009 The 40B630 is $799 in this week's BB B&M flyer. Why they would expect people who buy thru BB.com pay $80 more is mystery, but that's BB. It's not a bad price for a big merchant with a painless return policy, but I've seen it for less at other B&M merchants, though sales tax factors in. Amazon had it for the same price a few days ago, but they're out of stock. Costco doesn't carry the B630, they have the B610 model, which lacks media playback thru USB, and the Infolink RSS (which is arguably useless). It is cleaner looking since it lacks the "chin." I'm still waiting to see how far below $1000 the 46B630 will go. Another 10-20% for the extra 6" is worth it if it will fit in your space.
